Does anyone know where the building mentioned in the following paragraph might have been in Chester? The person who owned the building was a relative in my family, but I don't know who she was. I imagine she was a Walker or McCullough. The "young lady" mentioned was a Walker. "This soldier's company was at Yorkville, SC in the fall of 1865, at which place he was taken sick, and sent to Chester, where the headquarters of the regiment and hospital were located. The hospital being full he was sent to a small building near by, at which place he was taken care of by a comrade and an old lady, who owned the place. A young lady frequently came in who was a relative of the older one, and for three months this soldier was cared for by those people, the young lady being especially kind and no doubt materially aiding in saving his life." Any ideas? Thanks, Margaret
