Louise Crowder published a cemetery survey of many Chester county cemeteries and including some in bordering counties as I recall. I understand that the Chester County Genealogical Society has the rights to publish the book and has either published or intends to publish a new edition. Mrs. Crowder's book has been very helpful to me as I research long distance. She advised that transcription errors may occur even under the best conditions due to misreading of faded tombstones or just unintended human error. So if the dates don't match your expectations, double check. I did find some errors in my family but I had other records and bible records to help sort it out. Also, the Genealogical Society published the records of Hopewell Reformed Presbyterian Church which were a great help along with the cemetery records. The church records identified when members joined and when they left and often where the migrated to. I would be happy to do look ups in Chester County Cemetery Survey and/or Hopewell ARP Cemetery and Church records. Does anyone know if there are any cemetery inventories for Chester, York, Fairfield counties? I have MANY Ligon, Anderson and related families that I need to locate. I have used cemetery inventories published for Aiken and Florence Counties in SC, as well as Rutherford and Polk counties of NC and found them to be extremely helpful in putting together the "pieces of the family puzzle". Thank you, Jonnie in SC [email protected] Researching Anderson, Britton, Cockfield, Coward, Cox, Curlee, Cushman, Davenport, Denoon, Flynn, Fox, Gordon, Haynes, Herron, Hoagland, Holton/m, Howie/Howey, Hutto, James, Keeter, Key, Kirk, Lamb, Lee, Lewis, Ligon, McCutcheon, McGee, McGuinn, Monteith, Myers/Meyers, Owens, Padgett, Perkinson, Perry, Redd, Renew, Richardson, Searcy, Weeks, Woodward, and many more!

Many thanks for your kind offer of look-ups. Peggy Baugh Brown
In the book, Hopewell A.R.P. Church Cemetery Inscriptions, p. 23: Division 10 of the cemetery, Elizabeth McDill Brown McGarity b. Feb 14, 1879/d. Feb 20, 1960. In the Record Book for Hopewell (Records of Rev. Robert W Brice), p. 15: Marriage of Thomas Bagley & Sarah McGarritty, March 1865 I'm sorry not find any McGarrity records in the Tombstone Survey by Mrs. Crowder. Her book was intended as a first volume but she was unable to complete other volumes. Nancy -----Original Message----- From: Thomas W.
