It is a very pretty little church with a well maintained cemetery. The address is 5056 Richburg Road, Richburg, SC 29729. (This area is called the Bascomville community) I have obtained a "Cemetery Directory" compiled & recorded by Dr. Robert H. Walker. I also have a publication called "Cedar Shoal Church and Congregation, Chester County, South Carolina" by the Reverend James H. Saye. There is a sketch of Dr. John Brown Gaston of "Cedar Shoals" and a sketch of "Cedar Shoals Plantation House" on the cover of this publication. I obtained these documents from my Aunt, Eliza Ashe Darby. The Cedar Shoals Plantation was located about a mile from the churck and was purchased from the Gastons by George Washington Kirkpatrick, Sr. This was a beautiful upland piedmont plantation house. It survived until the 1960s. There is a home on the site of the original house occupied by G. W. Kirkpatrick's G-G-Grandson and family.
