My gggrandfather was Matthew Elder who settled in Chester County after his arrival from Ireland in 1791 following his marriage to Jennie McKay. Most of my info comes from his son, Matthew Elder, Jr., via his autobiography. Churches of interest are Cedar Shoals, Upper Fishing Creek, Richardson's (Lower Fishing Creek), Hopewell, Bethlehem, and Bethlehem Meeting House, reported to be a branch of Catholic. I am interested in any available records of graves of Justice John Gaston, his son Joseph and Joseph's daughter, Esther, who married Daniel Green Stinson. Esther and Daniel's daughter Jane married Matthew Elder, Jr. I would appreciate any burial records anyone could supply about any of the above or their ancestors from South Carolina.
