HALL on York street. - A most enjoyable affair of the week was the party given by MRS. ROBERT W. HARDIN, at her home on Hemphill Ave., Monday afternoon, complimentary to MRS. W.K. McBRAYER of Columbia and MRS. H.K. SANDERS of Cherryville, N.C. both former residents of Chester. - EUGENE ROBBINS entertained a few friends at an enjoyable bridge party at the home of his parents, MR. and MRS. A.H. ROBBINS on Brawley St. - MR. and MRS. HENRY SIMS have returned to their home in Orangeburg, after visiting the latter;s mother, MRS. CLAUDIA KEY, in the city. - J.B. TENNANT of Cranford, N.J., has been visiting relatives here. - MR. and MTRS. E.P. NISBET of Charlotte, were the guests of the latter's parents, MR. and MRS. J.C. McLURE on Pinckney St. for several days. - MRS. CLYDE CARTER and MISS COLETTE PADGETT who are attending the summer school at Winthrop college, Rock Hill, were in Chester for the weekend. - MR. and MRS. S.B. RAY, of Williston who have been visiting relatives in Chester and in the county, have gone to Bishopville to visit relatives before returning to their home. - DR. MARION BANKHEAD of Baltimore, Md., is spending his vacation with his parents, MR. and MRS. WALTER BANKHEAD near Chester. - MR. and MRS. N.M. McDILL have returned from a trip of several weeks to Myrtle Beach. - MR. and MRS. JOHN McKINNELL have returned to Charlotte after a visit with MR. and MRS. WILLIAM McKINNELL. - MRS. MALCOLM LOVELL has arrived in Chester from New York, to join her husband and little son, who have been here some time. Mr. LOVELL recently purchased the ELBERHARDT home near Chester. - MRS. SEIDEMAN and little daughter, ETHEL ANN, of Newark, N.J., are the guest of the former's parents, MR. and MRS. J. HALSTEAD McLURE on West End. - MISS FANNY DARBY has returned from a visit to relatives in Rock Hill. - MISS SUSANNE LUCAS , who with her mother , MRS. E.R. LUCAS is spending some time near Hendersonville, spent a few days at her home in Chester this week. - MISS BLEECKER MALONE is spending two weeks with MRS. W.
