forgive me if this is a double post.. I sent this out early this morning but not sure it went thru. I've recently become interested in a JOSEPH HAMILTON and WILLIAM HAMILTON that I found in the Livingston KY area 1810 census. also listed PATRICK, WOODS M, DAVID L, and my ancestor, ANTHONY L. Hamilton. Joseph and William are in the same age bracket -- 40-50 years of age and have families of younger children while Woods, Anthony L, and David do not. I believe them to be sons of either Joseph or William or at the least first cousins. I am trying to connect these dots and am hoping someone out there has these gentlemen in their files. If any of these names are a possibility please contact me. Info on Anthony L. -- born in SC, Chester area about 1789, parents unknown. He married into the Elizabeth Woodside of the Samuel Cunningham Woodside family. At some point prior to his marriage in Sept. 1810 in Crittenden/Livingston Cty, Ky., he migrated to KY from SC. I am inclined to believe that several families moved together from SC to KY, eventually moving into Illinois from there. There are also several families in the Oconee/Pickens area of the upstate of SC that could be where these families are from, just no info beyond a guess that Anthony L was even born in the Chester area. Thanks in advance for your time, Sandy Hamilton HAMILTON, WOODSIDE, CRAIG, CALDWELL, JONES, MARTIN, NELSON, LEDINSKY, BISHOP
