ANNA GRANT, widow of the late ALEXANDER GRANT, died Sunday at the home of her son, JOHN GRANT, in the Armenia section of Chester county, with whom she had made her home for many years. She was 80 years of age. The funeral services were conducted at the Armenia Meth. Episcopal church and the burial was made in the church graveyard. MRS. GRANT was a native of the section. She was a woman of the sweetest Christian character. She is survived by the following children: AMBROSE GRANT, New Hope , JAMES GRANT, Chester, JOHN GRANT , Armenia; MRS. THOMAS GLADDEN, New Hope, MRS. B. GLADDEN, New Hope, and MRS. WILLIAM LACKEY, Lockhart. She is also survived by 2 brothers, EDWARD GRANT, and PIERCE GRANT, of New Hope. --- Spartanburg Herald 1940 Chester, March 9- WILLIAM BENJAMIN VAUGHN, 63, member of a department store firm here, died Friday at Charlotte, N.C. hospital after an operation. While in Florida about 2 weeks ago, he suffered an injury in a fall on a short flight of steps. Funeral services will be conducted at the Bethel Meth. church by the Rev. PINKNEY L. BAUKNIGHT, pastor. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery. He was a native of the Ridgeway section of Fairfield County. His parents were the late J.M. VAUGHN and the late MRS. JANIE SIMPSON VAUGHN. He is survived by his wife, MRS. CLEO WALL VAUHN; one brother, R.J. VAUGHN, Simpson; 3 sisters, MRS. LEIGHTNER BLAIR, MISS MAMIE VAUGHN and MRS. P.H. RICHARDSON, all of Simpson and MRS.
