Hi my name is Antoinette Russell Anderson and I have been working on my families histories for awhile . My family was owned by David Chisholme Jr., around 1809/10 he moved into Chester, South Carolina from Louisa county , Virginia. I believe that David Chisholme was a slave trader and sold slaves into New Orleans, he was listed as being in Louisana around the same time of his move to Chester. David Chisholme died around 1816 in Chester SC. His slaves were than left to his brother Thomas and then to his nephew and Thomas' Son-in Law Suprey Chisholme. Here is a list of the slaves belonging to Suprey which includes my Great great grandfather Ned and his brothers William and Dudley and my great great grandmother Julia. After reconstruction many headed for the Northern states. I know that some of them migrated to New York, Ohio, Delaware, Pennyslavania, and there are many Chisholms in the Baltimore area that are from the Chester area and also Pitsburgh, Pa, Marion county, Florida.
