I am researching the KNOX family...............................it is written that Robert KNOX went from Franklin Co. Ky "about 1810" to settle the estate of his departed wife. This info in a book on the KNOX family. Does any thing show up in Chester County or near by for this woman............Elizabeth Gill KNOX.? Second wife of Robert was Millie Buckhannon. Robert KNOX is the son of James Knox and Lady Elizabeth Craig. I have our KNOX line back to the birth of Austin Knox, b. 1810 Kentucky, m. Susan Ann ELLISTON (lst husband, A. Castleman) in 1834. I know without a doubt that this line for Austin continues back to James and Lady Elizabeth. But parentage is a real question...........is the father of Austin to be Robert, or his oldest son?? Tieing together two ends of research is at the top of my Christmas list.............!!!!!!!!! It would really help me to have this estate settlement.
