I would invite Joseph Brown, Lt. Colonel and Judge in Chester, SC, born about 1735 and died 30 Jun 1822, to Thanksgiving at our home. I would ask him to name his wives, and there may have been three. The only one we think we know is Hannah Sandifer Land, the widow of Benjamin Land. Was Sarah Unknown his third wife, who is buried near him at Bullock's Creek? And what was her maiden name? Was Mary Neely an earlier wife, or was she married to a different Joseph Brown? Since Joseph was my gggg grandfather, I would love to know all the answers! Dorothy O'Neill
