    1. Re: [SCCHEST2] Group effort to construct a documented Trussell of Chester District family tree
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: KinMapper Surnames: Miller, Trussell Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.southcarolina.counties.chester/3999.3.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: This is in reply to two messages, the most recently posted one and this one. I selected this one as the one I preferred it be noticed since it is the one that mentioned my Miller family name. Actually as to between Trussells and Millers in Camden District of 1769 and thereafter, I am much more interested in the Millers, having an interest in two large such families of the many separate Miller pioneer or early immigrant families of this region. [Camden District was a colonial and early post-revolutionary boundary with it evolving in 1785 into Chester, York (and later part of Cherokee), Fairfield, Richland, Lancaster, Claremont and Clarendon Counties in 1785, and then most all becoming denominated as districts as of 1800 until effective with the 1868 Constitution, counties. Along the way from 1785 to present day, the latter three becoming (primarily) the current Lancaster, Kershaw, Sumter and Lee Counties.] At this point I will leave the organization of Trussell research to some other, but I do suggest that some research is not wise or ethical to be placed in public postings (at least not without written consent from all, yes all, those whose privacy rights would be compromised by such postings). This is usually a bit impractical and with that as an undeniable and unbreakable rule, it is more practicable to share such data privately. [It is conceded that the rule, although seldom denied is broken more often than obeyed by well-meaning amateur genealogists whose invasive posts sometimes become next to permanent etchings on the virtual www and its mirror "mirrored sites" images.] I am interested in corresponding with amateur and even professional, researchers of the Miller families with their heritage in the northern areas of what once was called Camden District, South Carolina to share thoughts, data and possibly family information. [The map attached is recognized to be in the public domain as it is promulgated by an agency of the federal government here in the USA and is done so for quick reference to the mentioned South Carolina counties, which definitely include Chester, county and district, both as to the Trussell name and the Miller name.] Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
