Hi, I would like to have for Thanksgiving dinner my 3rd great grandparents, James Patton b.1780 SC and Violet Douglass b. 1783 SC. I can find no marriage plus their first child was born 1816 so I am missing a lot of information. It is possible that Violet Douglass was married to a Douglass and that is not her maiden name.
