Scoggins Notes page: 1. These counties did not actually exist before 1785. During the Revolution, York County was part of the New Acquisition District, while Chester and Fairfield Counties were part of the District between the Broad and Catawba Rivers. Both the New Acquisition District and the District between the Broad and Catawba Rivers were electoral districts, which in turn were part of the much larger Camden Judicial District.
