Sweat was born in Chester District, SC. according to his civil war records that he signed. I am pretty sure that I come down from William's son Thomas Simms Sweat and his son John Asberry Sweat was born in GA. On Johns death record from the funeral home; it states John's father was Thompson Sweat. I never knew anything about my father's father's side of the family until about 6 years ago when I started this research. Family is VERY important to me and I would love to go farther back than the GA area. I would also like to make as sure as possible of the lines.
