I have seen his parents listed as Samuel Ferguson and Isabelle Barker, both born in SC, and as Samuel Ferguson and Isabella Barber, both born in Ireland and coming to SC in 1772. I will appreciate any information that will clarify this issue. Was there a couple named Samuel Ferguson and Isabelle Barker already in Sc when Samuel Ferguson and Isabella Barber arrived or are they the same couple?
