On pgs 430-431 of "Chester Co Heritage History, Vol 1" there is some info on this family going back to William Worthy, b cir. 1753 in Charlotte Co., VA. What I am interested in is the last paragraph, center col. of pg 431 where it states: "Other Patriots of the American Rev of ours who lived in Chester Co were Issac (sic) McFadden, Sr., James Ferguson. Both were Marion's Men & Joseph Tims." I am trying to figure out who this James Ferguson is. My line is Peter Culp who married Elizabeth Ferguson. Her parents were James Ferguson & Sarah (unknown maiden name). Sarah was killed at the home of Barbara Culp McKinney in the Indian war, the summer of 1781.
