Baskin Kitchings (born about 1831 in SC)and Hellen MONROE/MUNROE. Baskin and Hellen were married in Clay/Talladega Co. Alabama on 7/27/1856. James H. Baskin Kitchings served with 25th Alabama Infantry, Co G. Baskin and Hellen's children: John W. born 5/1857 Talladega Co, Al, Francis born 1860 Talladega Co, Eliza born 1866 Clay Co, Al, Minnie M. born 12/1868, Clay Co, AL., Calvin S. born 10/1871 Clay Co, Al., Atlas B. born 3/1873 Clay Co, Al. Baskin Kitchings was the son of Isabella and "Kendrill?" Kitchings. Isabella, a widow, and her five children (John William [my ancestor], Baskin, Thomas Alexander Sanders, Nancy Isabella, and Delila Amanda Kitchings Loner) lived in Abbeville, SC in 1840.
