    1. Re: [SCCHEST2] Rev. William Martin's church on Rocky Creek
    2. Janean, Sometimes - neighboring names can be a great help. Question: At the Library of Congress (seems like a 100 years ago) I was able to only quickly look at a copy of the book concerning Rev Martin and the church members who came to SC with him in their five ships. (Was the title: The Rev William Martin: 1772 - five ships and 467 families?) Anyway, at this time I was just starting on searching for info on my Joseph Telford family who had a land grant in (now) Chester Co., north of Rocky Creek. In the book it listed one of Martin's followers and provided the platt for his land, and the names of some people who had joining lands - and one man with joining land was a "Joseph Tilford" (an early error in spelling my surname) - and I am sure this Joseph was my g-g-g grandfather. However, I can no longer remember the exact name of this book about Martin and his church members, nor who authored the book. Do you know this info, and, and publisher of the book?
