I'd have to locate it but there is a letter written by an Anglican minister to the leaders of the Church of England complaining of such an happening. His words were that it would have done him no good to complain to officials of the area since they were Protestants too.     3. The Vestry of New Kent Parish (Church of England) once ordered some "sturdy stocks" built in the Church yard for them that "disturb our worship." One of the Vestrymen had a son among the noisy dissenters.
