I can't recall the other family names, but he appeared to be the most well-known Franklyn. Name spellings should not be taken as "gospel" since most were spelled phonetically and later on families spelled it differently. Therefore this Franklyn/Frankling is probably connected to your Franklin line, assuming they were from Chester Co, SC area.
