Since he died in 1809, I don't think there's much to be found in the census other than a name and location. I don't have access to deeds or probate records. What you have provided at least gives me some indication of where they were in early 1800 so maybe I can focus in on looking for records in Chester Co, SC. If I can ever save a little money, I might have to get somebody (a professional researcher) in Salt Lake City to do some legwork for me as that is where most of the records are in close proximity of each other including Irish records. I think David is Scottish (or Scotch-Irish) although he was reportedly b. near Dublin, Ireland and his people were considered to be quite wealthy from what I've heard.
