I posted a reply to a later post and you may not have seen it. I have information on the Whams. Hannah E. McWilliams, daughter of Martha Wham and David McWilliams, Martha was the daughter of Hannah Hamilton and Robert Wham. Both the Hamiltons and the Whams were from Northern Ireland. The Hamiltons arrived in Chester Co about 1791, the Whams began arriving in 1797. 1797 was about the time of the uprising and the British clamped down on travel between America and Ireland. Hannah's grandparents were not able to join the rest of their family until May 1807. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
