He had a wife Maybella Henry who died in Chester, b:1805 or 1806 but I can't locate where she is buried. 1. [SCCHEST2] Looking for area of Chester District
    2. Shirley Krenzler
    3. Hello Chester Genealogists, I am trying to locate the area on a map that my ancestor lived in the Chester District. In the 1830 Census of Chester District, my ancestor, Alexander Henry, was on the census page with A. McFadden, age 20-30, John Westbrook, age 40-50, William Westbrook, age 20-30, David Westbrook, age 30-40, E. Rogers, age 20-30, Jesse Ashcraft, age 30-40, William Jones, age 40-50, Jesse Carter, age 20-30, Sam Adams, age 30-40, S. Boyd, age 20-30, William Knox, age 70-80, William Graham, age 40-50, and Thomas Cain, age 30-40. If anyone is related to these people, do you have a general idea where they lived in the Chester District? I would like to see if I can find some cemetery records or Presbyterian church records in the area. Thank you for any information that you can give. Shirley

I have long thought the father of my Jonathan Elliott, born 1804 in Chester Co., was named William. I believe the Elizabeth Elliott listed in 1810 and 1820 census records may have been William's widow, and she had a son who could have been my Jonathan. But that's as far as I can go. Specifically: William Elliott b. abt 1760 d. Unknown, wife unknown. Children of William include: William Elliott b. 1782 Elnathan b. abt 1787 Mary Ann b. abt 1790 Robert b. 5/13/1793. I believe I found William Elliott in the 1790 Chester Co. Census, but couldn't determine whether he had died by 1800 or simply couldn't find him in the county. I was wondering if William or possibly his father who I believe to be James Elliott b. abt 1730 in Scotland might be buried in this cemetary? Are there other books/resources you have access to where you might be able to look for this family? this family might also have been in Chesterfield Co., SC, so it's confusing.
