SC Queries Reply Here: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/gc/USA/SC/Cherokee/10123 Surname: ------------------------- Hi Mona, I am in the prosess of compiling a book for all the descendants of Edward Williams Sr. of Spartanburg Co.,SC and his wife Lydia __. They were the grandparents of Noah Williams who married Harriet Phelps about 1848 in Spantanburg County, S.C.. I have included some census records concerning Noah's family in my previous post. Noah's parents were Isaac & Susan A. (Scruggs) Williams. Susan was probably the daughter of Drury Scruggs who's land bordered the Williams on the north. I have copies of most of the land grants showing the dicription of their lands all of which bordered on or near the Cow Pens Battle Ground in Cherokee County,S.C.and will be happy to share them with you. I also would like to include information for you and your family in the book I am compiling. I also intend to include in the book as much information as possible on all the descendants of Robert E. Lee Evans son of Thomas Evans of Wales and his wife Eunice. I've been able to identified most of the census records concerning the Williams and Evans family and have copies of a few obituaries. Also have listings for many other obituaries from the online index for the Spartanburg Herald & Gaffney Ledger which I hope to look them up as soon as I have an oppertunity to do more reserch in South Carolina. Please stay in touch and let me know if I can help with any additional information. Johnny Williams 3187 Wesson Gap Road Attalla, Alabama 35954 1-256-538-3648
Hi Johnny, Who are your Bridges...we are tied into William Bridges, Sr. and Jr....William's daughter Nancy married John Huskey, also the Scruggs several times over...particularly interested in Bridges since John married, or at least had children with a Cynthia Minerva Greenleaf Hardin after Nancy died. Thanks Judy Huskey Venice FL ----- Original Message ----- From: Johnny L.
