Hi Patsy and the rest of the list. I have an Edward Rippy who figured into my family legally as well. In my case E. Rippy, Jr. was listed as surity (security?) on the guardian account for rhe orphaned children of John Roberts, Jr. in 1830. It sounds like Mr. Rippy was providing a great service to the family.
