His first child Walter Eugene was my father. William marvin was in the Civil War in Cleveland NC go to http:www.gencircles.com and look for Earls you will find us. I have a picture of William Marvin holding a remington pistol abt 1862/1866 . It is an ambrotype and I had a photo shop make a picture of it.
