It is late at night so I only browsed your query. I had a great (several greats) uncle named Thomas DeKalb Earls who lived in Cherokee County and I believe was shot at Antietam. I know of an Aunt Ella as well. I just wanted to reply because my family are both Earls and Mosses and the two had a lot of relations between them.
