Have to jump in here with a distant but maybe possible relationship I have a Cynthia Minerva Greenleef Hardin who showed up at the home of William Bridges, Sr in the York area about 1850. She is in the census with a John Huskey and Nancy Bridges. In the next census she has a child that the census taker lists as Reuben Huskey, Nancy is still alive. Read what you want into this, it could be an error on the recorders part, she might have been a widow needing a place to stay....etc, blah, blah... who knows? However after Nancy dies, John and Cynthia either marry or stay together and have three more children. Cynthia is the mystery woman to be sure...what Hardin was she married to, is she kin the the Bridges? If this fits in anywhere I would be most appreicative of your thoughts Judy Huskey in raining at last Florida ----- Original Message ----- From: <genladymomof5@yahoo.com> To: <SCCHEROK-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, June 25, 2001 10:37 AM Subject: [SCCherok-L] Re: Earls - Moss > > I received your message and was wonderful to hear from another cousin!I am familiar with William M Earls 1839-1917 > husband of (1)Jane Roark, mother of 5 children:Daniel J. > "Danny",George,Charles,Lizzy and Dinah Earls.(2)Rebecca > Hardin mother of 4 children:William Pinkney(Big Will), > Margaret Avalonia"Loni",Alice(Sis)Earls. > William M Earls 1839-1917 was son of Bailus and Sarah > James Earls and they are all 3 buried at the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery, along with Nancy Earle,d/o Bailus and > Susannah Catherine Roark Earle,consort(1st wife)of Daniel > Earls, born 1829 & s/o Bailus captured and died 1 April 1865 > in The Elmira Civil War Prison Camp in New York.William M > Earls' son Big Will and his wife Hattie Mae Lanier Earls and an infant dau Ruby are buried there too. > From what child of William are you descended from??I don't have much info about his 2 oldest daughters:Lizzy & > Dinah. We have an annual Earls Reunion about first week of October and some of his descendants attend. My address is > P.O.Box 1235 Gaffney,S.C 29342-1235 if you would like to contact me for more information. > Let me know if there is any pacific info you need > and keep in touch!!!
