My lineage is as follows: +My father is Gene Douglas Harris +His mother is Wilma Mae Moss Harris +Her mother is Eunice Mae Earls Moss +Her father is Charlie Earls +His father is Will Earls Charlie Earls is supposedly a result of a brief affair between Will Earls and Marthie Varrisie. Charlie was born on May 29, 1885 and died on June 16, 1962. Marthie Varrisie was (I believe) born in 1850 and died September 13, 1927. She married Danny Earls after Charlie was born and Danny was passed off as Charlie's father. The affair between Marthie V. and Will is not common knowledge. Danny was born August 10, 1870 and died January 20, 1951. I do not know for sure how accurate the information on dates is because they were given to me from another source. My Granny Moss, Eunice Earls Moss, was born at Will's house which had an old grave on the right side of the drive of Mr. Jones and his family. Jones fell of a horse during the Civil War when he bumped into a tree striking the ground and died, but Will removed the headstone. I have Thomas DeKalb Earls down as having been born October 21, 1835 and died on February 20, 1915. Have you ever heard that story about how hi! s Civil War rifle used to hang in someone's house, but then someone asked to borrow it and they never brought it back? My dad is curious to know why Thomas served for Georgia during the Civil War and not SC. He said he was never sure if he found the right record b/c it was for GA, but we know now it is correct. I was mistaken, my dad says it was William who was wounded at Antietam. I have William down as being born October 28, 1839 and died on October 2, 1917. I have him down as being the brother of Thomas Dekalb Earls and the husband of Rebecca Hardin Earls, as well as being buried in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. Because Charlie is not an acknowledged child of Will's, I am not sure exactly who I am descended from but I think you might can figure it out. Danny Earls is supposed to be related somehow to Will Earls, because after Danny and Marthie married, Will played a role in my Granny Moss's life. I have records of all the Earls' buried at Antioch. There is an ! unidentified marker next to William at Antioch. Do you know who is there? Please be in touch. My email is spie11@yahoo.com if you want it. Love, Morgan
