Following is cross-posted to all of the Rootsweb lists that I admin. There is a new virus hoax email going around about the JDBGMGR.EXE file aka "Teddy Bear Virus" which encourages you to check your system files looking for the file and erase it if it is there. The icon for the file is a relatively crude Teddy Bear which leads some to believe it must be the "Teddy Bear Virus" Facts! JDBGMGR.exe is a required file for the management of Java. It IS NOT a virus and the icon is a "cute" little teddy bear -- DON'T DELETE THIS FILE... If you have deleted the file already then it can be restored by re-installing either Microsoft Virtual Machine or Internet Explorer. More information is at http://www.europe.f-secure.com/hoaxes/jdbgmgr.shtml Again, please don't forward on the virus hoax emails about this one and always be cautious when anyone states that antivirus software won't detect a virus but this person did... hmmmm.
