I have traced the Smith line of my family back from Texas through Georgia to John, or Jon, Smith and Agnes Cooper who were born in South Carolina, ca 1810. They had two sons: Mathew Castle Pinkney "MCP" Smith, my ggrandfather, and John "Texas" Smith. MCP Smith married Susan Smith in Cherokee County South Carolina c:1830. I would appreciate any information on John, Agnes or Susan and will gladly share what information that I have down the line to the present.
