They were married Sept 1857. From my Grandmother's notes I have the following information: John/Jon Smith was born in 1810 in South Carolina and Agnes Cooper was born in 1809 in SC. John/Jon and Agnes were married c:1830 in South Carolina. John/Jon died in Houston County Texas in 1881. "MCP" was born Sept 7, 1837 in South Carolina, Married Susan Smith in Sept 1857 and died in Houston County Texas on May 3 1904. All four are buried in the Old Shady Grove Cemetery in Houston County Texas. I have pretty good records from that generation to the present but can't seem to get past John/Jon and Agnes to their parents.
