Leroy is the son of Willie Richard Earls born 9 Mar 1902 & died 6 Sept 1978 and Daisy"Oveda"Cooper.Willie also was born in the Blacksburg,Cherokee County,S.C. area.Thomas Dekalb Earls born Oct 1834 died Feb 1915 was married to (2) Ella Jay Moss born Nov 1867 - died 1945 and they are the parents of Willie.Thomas was the s/o Bailus Earle(s) 1798-1875 and Sarah James(1808-1882).When Thomas was born the Blacksburg area was in York County until about 1897 but now is Cherokee County,S.C./Children of Bailus and Sarah are:Mary Matilda Earls Wilson,Daniel Earls,Nancy Earls, Thomas Dekalb Earls,Dicia Earls Brown,Sarah Catherine Earls Wilson,William M.Earls,Margaret Jane Earls m.(1)Albright?(2)Colbolt? or Claybolt?,Martin J.Earls,Cynthia Earls Hullen- der,Annie Elizabeth Earls Allen,Francis"Frank"Marion Earls, and Eliza B.Earls. Also my husband is the son of Dewey P.Moss born 2 Aug 1914 died 28 Nov 1971 born & died in Gaffney,Cherokee County S.C.and Gladys Virginia Byers born 13 Oct 1910 and died 15 Feb 1996.They are buried at Draytonville Baptist Church Cemetery in Gaffney,Cherokee County,S.C. Dewey P. Moss was the son of George Steadman Moss born 11 June 1886 died 8 Feb 1965 and Fannie Suttle born 1889 - died June 1964.They are buried at Draytonville also. Gladys was the daughter of William Edward"Edd" Byers born 1890 died 1912 in Gaffney,Cherokee County,S.C. and Clara Ester Williams born 1888 died 1973.Wm."Edd" is buried at Oakland Cemetery in Gaffney,Cherokee County,S.C. & Clara is buried near her 2nd husband Neely Wm.Driskill at Drayton- ville. George Steadman Moss was the son of Lucy Ann Moss born about 1847 in what was the Union/York County area but is now Cherokee County,S.C. area.Lucys' first husband was Hezekiah Porter born 1852 died 1872,but after he died,she had George by a Doctor Davis(not a physician,that was his given name).Lucy died 4 Nov 1929 in Gaffney,Cherokee County.S.C. and is buried at Draytonville near her son John Wesley Moss,dau in law Lillie Bright Moss and a grand daughter Loler Bell Moss.Lucy is the daughter of Barnett Moss & Jane ? /and Lucy is grand daughter of Willis Moss Sarah Mullinax Moss.
