    3. >From that list it indicates that he (or family) was receiving a pension according to that act of 1919. It is likely that he was living at that time and in Cherokee County if he is listed on that list. I'd suggest you consult the original at the Cherokee County Public Library if possible. As far as 4th SCR vs 5th SCR -- whenever any document is transcribed there is a chance for error. The list I have online is a transcription of a transcription of a transcription -- many chances for error ;-) It should provide you with enough information to request copies of his service record from the SC Archives at Columbia which will clarify the actual circumstances of his service. A Thomas J. Lavender, 71 year old white male is listed on page 162 of the Cherokee County census of 1920 as residing in the Limestone Township. You may want to find a copy of that census report and check it out. Hope you find this helpful...     3. Always looking for parents of John Huskey, b. 1800-1815, died after 1880. He had a brother William Allen, known mostly as Allen, married to Susan/Susannah John married first Nancy Bridges, dau of William Bridges, Sr. Second to Cynthia Minerva Greenleaf Hardin They had son Reuben Monroe Huskey, m. to Martha Phillips. They had many children, I have details. Both John and Allen lived first in York area, John then moved closer to Gaffney. Cannot make the link between John and the lines of brothers Barney and Thomas Huskey altho I suspect they are related. Any Huskey connections details, most appreciated.
