    3. A John Conn received a land grant to 500 ac. on the Great Pee Dee River in 1734 (present day Georgetown Co.). By will dtd 29 Nov 1758 he bequeathed half of the land to his son Thomas Conn and the other half to his grandsons John Conn of Harvard and John Gregg of Groton, Mass. Thomas Conn and his wife Mary (of Prince George Parish) sold the land in 1767 to Samuel Grier. It is my understanding that there was a Conn family in old Darlington district but I know nothing about them. Hope this helps, regards, Deryl ----- Original Message ----- From: Peggy Conn Burley <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, August 11, 1999 11:00 PM Subject: [SCCHARLE-L] Roll Call > I am researching the surname Conn.
