Could someone with access to the "Index to Wills of Charleston County" look to see if William Wray who died in July 1817 had a Will or the Will of any other Wray from around that period. I found in the 1942 SC Historical Magazine The Marriage and Death Notices from The City Gazette of Charleston SC. September 4, 1823 my GGG grandfather Henry Wray was admitted to the Charleston Orphan House by his mother Sara D. Wray. The entry does not mention his father.
