I am looking for information on Benjamin Griswold Hildreth who was baptized at the Independent Congregational Circular Church in April of 1803. His father was listed as Benjamin Hildreth and speculation is that his mother is Mary. Benjamin the father died a few years later and it is possible that the mother Mary remarried a man with the last name of "Goshen". The children were supposedly orphaned / indentured out to an aunt. We believe that this is the Benjamin Hildreth who went on to marry Jemima Dowling and moved into the Coffee / Dale counties of Alabama in the 1830's as a Methodist Circuit rider.
