Groves Veronon Edward Groves, 84, of North Charleston, a retired insulator in the construction industry, died Tuesday in a local nursing home. the funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Riverview Memorial Park. Burial will be directed by Stuhr's North Area Chapel. Mr. Groves was born in Magnolia, NC, a son of Jamie O. Groves and Rosie Mae Merritt Groves.He was an army veteran of WWII and a member of Pittman Street Baptist Church. Surviving are two sisters, Rebecca G. Cook of Charleston and Dorothy G. Wiggs of Hope Mills, NC.
