Just received a booklet about the SC Ordinance of Secession listing a James Ezra Tindal (1838-1906) as Secretary of State and having custody of the Ordinance from 1890-1894. My ancestor Mary Eleanor Anderson was married to James E. Tindal of Sumter district and died at age 22 in Greenville. Does anyone have more information on this James Ezra Tindal?
