He married (1) Mary Ann Girardeau April 1795, daughter of John Girardeau and Hannah Splatt. She died March 20, 1799. He married (2) Elizabeth You December 02, 1800 in Charleston, SC, daughter of Thomas You and Elizabeth Clifford. She was born Abt. 1770, and died Bef. 1806. He married (3) Ann Lambright December 24, 1806. She died December 12, 1854. Children of Samuel Axson and Mary Girardeau are: 19 i. Amanda9 Axson, born February 01, 1796; died July 22, 1817. 20 ii. Dau Axson, born March 1798; died April 1798. 21 iii. Mary Ann Axson, born March 1799; died April 1821.>>>> I have the following from BAKER RECORDS : >From the Baker Records: Peter Girardeau, who lived in the St Bartholomew's Parish, married first in 1730, Elizabeth Bohun and 2nd, in 1747 Elizabeth Heape. He had died by Dec 1759 according to an indenture signed by his eldest son, John B. Girardeau. * Note according to the above there were other sons.
