My Uncle Joseph Christopher McElroy was born in Charleston in 1920. His father was Franklin McElroy and his mother was Marie Smith. Does anyone on this list have any information on the McElroy family of Charleston. Also can someone tell me how I request a copy of a birth certificate from the State of South Carolina.
