    3. Judy: Thank you for your help! To reply to your two messages: >Could you please tell me who the father/mother is of this Anne Robert? If there "was" an Anne Roberts who was born in 1702-1703 (unless she was his twin, forget the "May 1704" part, as Peter was born in 1704 before his mother died in May), she would presumably be the daughter of Anna Legrand and sister of Capt. Peter. A 1702-1703 birthdate does nor preclude her from marrying John Horry (b. 1709) although it is a little unusual. If she was a "true person", perhaps she had an early death, unmarried. If you know Peter to be the only child of Pierre and Anna, that would eliminate the question (and the person). >Rev. Pierre Robert (1656 St Imier, Swtz) sailed to America with his wife, >family and followers and landed in Charleston 1686. His son, Pierre Jr, >b. 1675 was 11 years old at the time. It is this Pierre who married Anna >Marie Louise LeGrand (1680-1704). They had a son, Pierre III, b. 1704 in >French Santee, SC, he married Mary Lynch. They had the following children: >Lynch, b. 1729, Jonah, b. 1731, Mary, b. 1733, Susannah b. ??, >and Anne, b. ?? It is not possible that this Anne was born 1703 or 1704, >or that she was born in Switzerland! She was born in French Santee, SC. >And, I don't list a son Pierre/Peter for Pierre III and Mary Lynch. But that >is possible I guess, I might not have all the kids. Your information is most welcome. It clears up several questions about places of birth. It seems to me my first question should be "what was the birth date of Anne who married John Horry?". Based on the 1740 marriage date and the 1709 b. date for John, she was likely born abt. 1709-1724, more likely abt. 1715-1722, as 31 year-old John probably would not have married a 16 year-old child. Assuming she was b. 1722, and the daughter of Peter (b.1704), he would have been 18 at her birth, a very normal relationship of dates. I have a "Margaret Robert" who married Allard Belin (1719-1804) in 1744 as the dtr. of Capt. Peter and Mary (Lynch) Robert. Is this a bad connection? If so, does anyone know who her parents were? Can anyone else help? Edward
