Edward, I have to agree, either Marie Petremand's birth date is wrong or their wedding date is wrong. I would be inclined to think that it might be her birthdate, it was only estimated to begin with. As for Guillaume Robert's father, I don't know. I have not been able to go back any farther from Guillaume, so your Jehan and Humbert could be correct. From what I have read in papers of the Huguenot Society, this family moved around due to religious persecution, ( depending on who was king at the time.) I feel they originated in Normandy, but I have no proof of that. Daniel is the only one I have that is listed as being born in Wales, the other generations are in Switzerland, untill the Reverend Pierre came to Charleston. B. de Saussure who lives in France and has a lot of Huguenot lines from both France and Switzerland. Whoever it was, they had Daniel b. 1625 in Switzerland and married April 1, 1651, in Switzerland to Marie Petremand. If they were married in Wales in 1653, I rather doubt that she was born about 1645. Did they both flee to Wales and later return to Switzerland?
