(Told you I was confused) Regarding my paragraph ; "St. James, Santee Parish records shows "John Horry, - - widower" married to "Ann Royer, - - widow" July 5, 1759". This could not have been Ann Simons, widow of John Royer IF she secondly married Capt. Stephen Proctor because she would have been shown in the records as "Ann Proctor, widow". So maybe there WAS an "Ann Proctor" who married John Royer, Jr. (d. abt. Nov., 1753) and she then (1759) married John Horry. Oh boy! Edward >> ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ LOL, this is enought to confuse anyone, Edward. Do you have this record that you mention? Are you quoting from the record? This could very well be. I have some records that are writen in long hand by Rev. Pierre, (very difficult to read, and some are in french), but this would be way to early for Peter Horry to show up. Judy
