She is the youngest of fourteen children. She is a native of Charleston, SC. Shonda graduated from R. B. Stall High School in 1990. She joined the United States Air Force in 1991. After getting out of the military Shonda wen to New York and later graduated from American Academy McAllister Institution of Funeral Services with her Associated degree in Funeral Services in 1997. She became a Licensed Funeral Director in May 1999. In February 2000, she started her own business as a Trade Funeral Director titled *Soughern Services in Manhattan, New York. Shonda received her Funeral Director/Embalmer in South Carolina, July 2000. She is currently employed as a Licensed Funeral Director/Embalmer at William A. Smith's Funeral Home. She is a member of New Charity Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Dr. J. Charles Levy, Jr. Other accomplishments: Graduate of Opheli Devore School of Charm. Certificate in Floral Design with the American School of Floral & Plant Design, and Licensed Real Estate Agent, Bronx Community Real Estate School.
