List: I have been studying a book entitled "Signers of The Declaration of Independence" by Della G. Barthelmas, printed by McFarland and Company, 1997. It contains a lot of information not found in some of the more concise books on the same subject and I can recommend it as a good source of general information. However, I have found several instances of genealogical information for the ancestors of Lewis Morris (of N.Y.), Arthur Middleton and Thomas Heyward that confuse me. I am not about to say the book contains errors, but I do have difficulty collating some of the information with what I have gathered over many years. I have not yet done the Rutledge and Lynch biographies, so I hope for improvement in my understanding with them. Has anyone else had similar difficulty? If you want to be specific, may I suggest you could contact me directly, rather than on this "public" list? I certainly don't want anyone to have legal problems. Am I being too careful? Edward
