Mary Alice, I have been having this same problem. My gr grandmother bought a property in "Charleston Neck" at the corner of Clements Ferry Road and State Road located on the old (what looked like) "Stranbok' farm. I went to Charleston recently and discovered that the area was beyond Line Street and beyond Magnolia Cemetery. It was located near Naval Base Road. There is a Clements Road and several blocks below that is Stromboli Ave. When I looked again at the plat, I could see the word was Stromboli, not Stranbok. This plat was from the 1870's. I did not even attempt to find "Old" St James Goose Creek though she had property there also. Barbara [email protected]
