St. Johannes Church is still a very active congregation. The Church is on the corner of Hasell and Anson St - (i.e. 48 Hasell Street, 29401) . Phone is 843 722 8906. They always open the church for Historic Charleston Foundation House and Garden tours, so you might well be able to contact someone who has a strong interest in the history of the church. There is also a Lutheran Church only a block away on Wentworth St - i.e. St. Andrew's, but I don't know what year it was founded. ----- Original Message ----- From: <MErwin114@aol.com> To: <SCCHARLE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, February 22, 2000 7:26 PM Subject: [SCCHARLE] Historic Churches > > > Re recent discussion on historic chuches > > Today I happened to read a list of historic churches in the city of > Charleston - > which mentioned a LUTHERAN Church built about 1810. > > ST.
