Hello, I am new to this list (and genealogy) and am trying to research my grt. grandmother Isadora Marion Woody of Charleston (and/or Georgetown), SC, born in 1844. In 1864 she married William Sidney Fisher and they had ten children. Her parents were John Thomas Woody and Caroline Elizabeth Simmons (whose father was Capt. Stephen Simmons whose family goes back to 1621 in Plymouth, Mass). There is a rumor Isadora Marion was related to Gov. Benj. Franklin Perry.
