I am searching for information on D. Miles Gilmore. I estimate he was born around 1820. I don't know where he went after he left Horry County, South Carolina, sometime after 1860. Any information appreciated, Sonja

I descend from Joseph Mott(e) (1774-1849), who m'ed Zelpha WIGGINS in 1799/1800 in Effingham Co. GA. Among other things, I've been trying to find the expected link between he and Abraham Motte (m. Sarah SCRUGGS 1769 Effingham Co.). There is a theory that "my" Joseph was one of the sons of a Joseph Mott Sr. (ca. 1725 - ca. 1798) of Craven Co. SC, but there's only circumstantial evidence. I'm hoping that someone has some new evidence that brings new light to the questions of whether Joseph Mott, Sr. descended from: 1. Adam Mott via NY/Del > NC > SC > GA, 2 The Motts of VA > NC > SC > GA, or 3. The French/Huguenot MOTTEs/de la MOTTEs of Europe>Antiqua/Jamaica>SC and also, if "my" Joseph was a son of "Joseph, father of Nathan".

Waring, and I have been collecting data on the Waring Family of the upper Ashley River area for many years. We are looking for anyone with "Waring" as a first, middle, or last name, with the object of finding additional lines of descent from Benjamin and Elizabeth Waring who settled in the area in 1683. We would be happy to trade information on the Warings and collateral lines of Joor/Ioor, Farr, Freer, Postell, Brailsford, Wilkinson, Ladson, Stanyarne, Perry, Smith, Legare, and others.
